Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where will students attend class?
    During their freshman and sophomore year students will attend class at Beloit Memorial High School (BMHS). During their junior and senior year students will attend classes at one of Blackhawk Technical College’s three locations and may also be required to take courses at Beloit Memorial High School.

    Will transportation be provided to Blackhawk Technical College.
    Yes, there is a free shuttle service to and from Blackhawk Technical College.

    Will textbooks be provided?
    Yes, all required textbooks are provided to the student at no charge to them.

    When can students start taking classes?
    Students can begin earning college credit freshman year by taking articulated courses at BMHS. Students will have access to the majority of articulated classes during their sophomore year and beyond.

    Will students be able to participate in student activities and athletics?
    Yes, at Beloit Memorial High School and Blackhawk Technical College. However, the rigor of the coursework will require a significant time commitment. Students should be careful not to overcommit themselves.

    What is the cost of this program?
    There is no cost to students.

    Will DACA and undocumented students be able to participate in the program?
    Yes. Please note, however, if DACA and undocumented students wish to continue past high school graduation they should be aware that they will have to self-pay for courses or utilize scholarships since they are not eligible for financial aid.
